in progress: a soundmap of Toronto that is dedicated to Workman Arts. the map will feature text and sound recordings of stories of housing crisis; images, text and sound of transforming trauma into stretches of new imagination (utopia); text and live sound broadcasts of news from wormholes (news coming from the future, the past or a parallel universe); and components that embody or speak to an aesthetic of failure. you fail when the system fails you. |
email correspondance and 2 meetings with the Toronto Accessible Housing Working Group (AHWG): 1) to include into the concept of "accessible units" the flexibility for the specific accessibility needs of invisibly disabled individuals 2) to add "financial accessibility" as a fundamental requirement for a unit to be "accessible" 3) to stop the practice of erasing recipients of the Canada-Ontario-Housing-Benefit (COHB) from the central waiting list for rent-geared-to-income (RGI).
